Inchie Inspiration

The first time a saw this inchie project at Jeane's blog I wanted to make one of my own. Her inchie post here.

Finally, after years, I got around to making one. I have three more to make but I really love the way the first one came out. What do you think?

I haven't had time to take decent picture but I couldnt wait to share so I used my trusty old Iphone.

Here are my two favorite things to photograph other than my gorgeous children of course.

Flowers and Sunsets!

This was taken this past Saturday morning. I took the kids out for a morning stroll. In the back of the development where I live there is what used to be a cottonfield, which is where I took this picture. There are great photography opportunities back there. I have done a few shoots out there and truly love the way the images turn out each time. Who would of thought an old field could be so beautiful!

This was taken on my way home from work on Tuesday. I pulled over right off of Bullard and the I-10. I could see the tractor from the freeway plowing the field and it just looked so beautiful to me. I absolutely had to take a picture. Yes, I take a camera everywhere I go now. The one I carry with me is an older one.  I would probably die (jk) if something happened to my newest camera, so that one stays safe.

How to find your uniqueness - for artist

I will be following and participating in the "Develop on Fridays" project at Paislee Press. It is a study group for any photographer that is looking to develop what Jefra Star Linn calls your "voice".

Since I started photography I've always wondered how to accomplish this. I never went to art school or photography school of any kind. I am self taught. So for me, most of the time I photograph what I think people want. However, I feel like I need to "think outside of the box" somehow. I am hoping that this group will help me accomplish stepping outside of the box and finding my own personal style. 

Within the first lesson, I found the suggested reading very insightful. If you are interested in finding your artistic voice you should definitley read the article by James Hart at Entrepreneur the arts.   

Hope this helps someone looking for inspiration and I hope that some of you will join me in the study group.

A goal is a promise you make yourself

I'm really excited about Elsie and Leigh-Ann's Style School online class getting started on Sunday! Here are my homework pages depicting my current style inspiration in different areas of my life.
Can't wait to see what comes out of this class. Should be fun!
